Canadian Hearing Services (CHS) approached POI to supply interior furnishings for their head office. Their goal was a complete space and design refresh that would make better use of natural light by bringing down cubicle heights to create a more open concept collaborative environment.
Working with the designer and client, POI replaced all existing furniture with more contemporary office options. CHS is Canada’s preeminent provider of clinical services, products, education, and source of information for the Deaf and hard of hearing. Given that many CHS employees are hearing impaired, giving greater lines of sight would increase visibility and facilitate more accessible communications and interactions.
POI leveraged Steelcase product including Migration sit/stand desks, Answer workstations as well as Payback offices and filing cabinets with a common top to accommodate both storage as well as a working surface. POI also specified Global lunchroom tables and chairs.
Along with our design partner, POI successfully rejuvenated the space. The response from CHS has been very positive and they are looking to engage POI on refreshes to their other offices across the country.
