A Spotlight on POI’s Own Alina Paulozza: Operation’s Supervisor
At POI, we rely on the unsung heroes behind the scenes who ensure that everything runs like clockwork. Alina, our Operations Supervisor, is one of those essential figures. With a sharp eye for detail and a passion for solving complex puzzles, Alina’s role goes far beyond simply managing bookings and schedules. Her work impacts every step of a project’s success, and her ability to balance diverse personalities and tasks makes her an integral part of the POI team.
Alina’s journey at POI began in a supportive role, helping the internal scheduling team stay organized. But as the company grew, so did her responsibilities. Today, she’s the linchpin of the scheduling department, ensuring that jobs are assigned to the right team members and that each project is running smoothly. What may seem like routine admin work to others is, for Alina, a strategic puzzle that requires juggling multiple moving parts. She thrives on the complexity, matching the best skills and personalities to each client’s unique needs. “The biggest challenge is balancing different personalities and skills,” she explains. “It’s about finding the right fit for each task and ensuring the client gets the best service.”
People often misunderstand her role, assuming it’s purely about setting dates and ticking boxes. In reality, it’s far more than that. Alina sees herself as the first step in a much larger process—one that ensures everything from scheduling to installation runs seamlessly. “There’s a lot of preliminary work involved, and it’s much broader than it appears,” she says. This meticulous approach is what keeps POI’s projects on track and ensures our clients are always happy with the results.
One of the things that keep Alina passionate about her role is the constant variety. No two clients are the same, and every day presents new challenges. While the core tasks may stay the same, the way she approaches them changes with each client, keeping the job fresh and engaging. “We’re always evolving, always finding new ways to get better,” she says, describing how her team continually strives for improvement rather than falling into routine.
Reflecting on her career, Alina admits that she initially underestimated how much she would enjoy the social aspects of her job. “I thought I was more suited for admin,” she recalls, “but I’ve grown to love interacting with others and hearing their stories.” For anyone starting out in the industry, she offers this advice: give the role a chance to surprise you. “The interaction with people is one of the best parts.”
Looking ahead, Alina sees the industry shifting toward a mix of privacy spaces and open, comfortable environments. To meet these changes, she’s focused on refining her team’s skills and ensuring POI is always prepared to meet new demands. “Our job site readiness is crucial,” she says. “We need to be prepared to step in when construction is ready for us, and that takes a lot of coordination.”
